Idaho Candidate Filing Period for County Offices, Precinct Committeemen, and Nonpartisan Candidates: Candidates may file declarations of candidacy with the county clerk or the clerk of the political subdivision beginning at 8 a.m. on Monday and must be filed by no later than 5:00 p.m. on the last day of the filing period. County Clerk - Four Year Term:
The Teton County Democratic Party is requesting resumes and letters of interest from candidates interested in representing our party by running for the position of Teton County Clerk in 2026. Successful candidates will be elected to a 4-year term. Position carries a $77,983 salary plus full medical/dental benefits. The Teton County Clerk serves as the Clerk to the Board of County Commissioners, custodian of all county recorded documents, Clerk of the District Court, Budget Officer, and Elections Administrator. Candidates for this position are required to be registered Democrats, be 21 years of age, and have lived in Teton County a minimum of one year. District 1 County Commissioner - Four Year Term:
The Teton County Democratic Party is requesting resumes and letters of interest from candidates interested in representing our party, running for District 1 County Commissioner in 2026. Successful candidates will be elected to a 4-year term. Position carries a $41,863 part-time salary plus full medical/dental benefits. Candidates for this position are required to be registered as Democrats, be 21 years of age, and have lived in Teton County a minimum of one year. District 1 Commissioner candidates are additionally required to have lived in Commissioner District 1 (Victor and its environs - see map) a minimum of 90 days.
